About
I'm Steven Paul, a registered dietitian and founder of The Whole You Dietitian.
I spent two decades in people-facing professional work before training as a dietitian. That career taught me how to read a room, how to ask the right question at the right moment, and how to stay calm when someone in front of me is struggling with something they haven't said out loud yet.
Nutrition and lifestyle started as a personal interest alongside that work, during a genuinely difficult period in my life, when I needed to understand my own health and my family's health properly. What began as reading everything I could find turned into something bigger: a growing passion that, over time, became a vocation. I realised I wanted to take what I was learning, and everything those two decades had taught me about people, and build a career around helping others understand nutrition and lifestyle factors so they could improve their own health.
That decision led me into tertiary education for the first time in my life. I completed my BSc (Hons) in Dietetics and Nutrition at London Metropolitan University, graduating with first class honours in 2026 after five years of study, much of it while working around dyslexia, building my own systems of templates, visual tools, and repetition along the way.
My clinical placements took me across a wide range of settings. In community mental health, I worked with adults and children with learning disabilities, alongside forensic mental health and older adults living with mental health difficulties. In acute care, I worked across general wards, supporting people with a variety of chronic and acute conditions. And in older adult care, I gained experience in care home settings, working with older adults in later life, including dementia care. Across all of these settings, I worked with things like weight management and everyday diet and lifestyle factors, always taking into account the everyday realities that influence someone's life.
I'm HCPC-registered (DT036168) and a member of the British Dietetic Association. If you'd like to know whether working together might be a good fit, book a free discovery call, no obligation, just a conversation.
